Are smart phones for smart people?

So here I am day 2 of my "real" vacation with nobody asking me for help and I find myself checking in with my office. My recent purchase of a smart phone was for the purpose of having my schedule at my fingertips - smart right? So why am I using my smart phone for e-mail while on my real vacation-am I as smart as I think I am or is this a sickness that afflicts all business owners?

About the "vacation".

Never and I mean NEVER think you will have a rest by going on vacation with your daughter,son-in-law and two grand-babies while executing your son's wedding from a cottage three hundred miles from home.Oh I forgot to mention my parents joined us from out of province for five excruciating fun filled days. I really had forgotten how much I really don't enjoy them when I exceed my two day threshold.There is something cruel in the universe that changes a 49year old woman into a 10 year old in the presence of her parents.
All I have left to say is that it is great to be home and alone with 2 days of real vacation left to enjoy.
